vanuatu... the untouched paradise

nach strengen 8 reisestunden, kamen wir endlich (via fiji) in vanuatu an... es war sehr bewoelkt und somit war der erste eindruck eher ernuechternd.... (aber zum glueck nur fuer ein paar tage) mings cousine war bereits schon am flughafen und begruesste uns mit einem breiten laecheln... in vanuatu laecheln uebrigens alle... ich habe kaum froehlichere menschen getroffen... die locals hier sehen aus wie afrikaner mit einem polinesischen schuss... gesprochen wird ein supercooles, gebrochenes englisch, franzoesisch und ca. 120 andere sprachen.... auf den ca. 90 inseln leben hunderte von verschiedenen staemmen die noch nach alter buschtradition leben... einen davon haben wir besucht.. (siehe bilder)... auf der insel tanna... auf der uebrigens ein fantastischer cafe angepflanzt wird... haben wir einen aktiven vulkan bestiegen... es war einfach ueberwaeltigend und bei jedem lavaaustoss, bebte die erde...

vanuatu ist einfach ein traum.. ich glaube schoenere straende gibt es kaum... das wasser ist tuerkisblau und die korallen funkeln in allen farben... auf einem schiffsausflug kamen wir uns vor wie entdecker neuer inseln...

zudem haben wir das einheimische getraenk kava genossen, dass ist eine nicht wirklich gutschmeckende bruehe, die aus der kavapflanze gewonnen wird... der effekt ist mit mariuhana zu vergleichen... nur kava ist total legal hahahaha... hier trinken es alle nach dem feierabend.. siehe auch bilder von ming...

mings familie lebt hier schon seit drei generationen... und der hammer ist... ihr laden ist sozusagen der treffpunkt der locals auf der insel... nochmals superlieben dank fuer alles... ihr seid einfach super!!!!! danke danke danke.. tante und onkel, juliana, sami, godfrey und justin, jack und familie.

wir verlassen nun vanuatu mit weinenden augen... naechste station... sydney...

after 8hours traveling we arrived in vanuatu (next to fiji island)... unfortunatelyit was cloudy but luckily only for few days. my cousin juliana and samuel, her husband,were already waiting at the airport and welcomed us with a warm smile... vanuatu one ofthe happiest country in the world :) everybody smiles. the habitants in vanuatu is a mix between african and polynesian... and are called melanesian. they speak bislama (broken english), english and french (it was a colony ruled by the britainand french. independent since 1980). on the ca. 90 islands, there are many different tribes living there, which still have their own bush tradition. we have visited one of them. we went to another island... tanna. visited the active volcano yasur which is accesible.and it was amazing and scary at the same time.... vanuatu is a dream... a lot of beautiful beaches... turkis blue clear water, corals everywhere, plenty of fishes,...we also tried the local drink kava, it is made out of the kava plant... when you drink it, it has somehow the effect of mariuhana... the difference is that kava is totally legal hahahahaand it is the after hour drinkmy uncle's family has been living here since three generation... and they own a store which is called chi kau store. everybody on port vila know this store...we take the chance to thank you for everything... you are great!!! and we really enjoythe stay... i think we will come back again someday. thank you!!! uncle and aunt, julianaand samuel, godfrey and justin, jack and family
